To our Mountain Lion Family,

These are unprecedented times in our communities, and I know you are likely facing new challenges of economic instability, working from home, caring for family and being inundated with communication about COVID-19. Our entire Mountain Lion community is impacted by the COVID-19 crisis in some way. I want to let you know that the UCCS Alumni and Friends Association cares about you and your community.

• I want to share the latest information about UCCS and the virus. COVID-19 impacts at UCCS are housed on this website. Of key importance: the UCCS campus is in the process of largely operating remotely for the rest of the semester, and all in-person events have been cancelled. Our office continues to work remotely, and the Alumni Relations and Annual Giving team is just an email or voice mail away. Please learn how to contact us on this website.

• There are two key services we know alumni enjoy using: the Kraemer Family Library and the Career Center. The library will not be open during the remainder of the semester on campus, but virtual services continue, and you can learn more about them on this library site. The UCCS Career Center will offer virtual appointments for the rest of the semester. Email careers@uccs.edu  to schedule an appointment. 

• In-person commencement ceremonies for May 2020 are cancelled. UCCS leadership is working on alternate plans for commencement and how we will celebrate the important accomplishments and milestones of UCCS students. We will most certainly find new ways to welcome these students into the life of the UCCS alumni community.  

• Finally, we are working on ways to best support students who are now engaged in remote learning, have lost their physical ties to campus, are disconnected from friends and are enduring stresses, as we all are. Please keep an eye on your inbox as we launch fundraising and other efforts to support UCCS students. Your support is vital, now and always, as we continue to focus on our mission of education and research to better our communities and world.
